STAFF AND LEADERSHIP


  • RANDY HAMMONDS  co-senior pastor / elder

    Pastor Randy has been in ministry for over 30 years, with over 25 of those spent serving at Chapel in the Hills/GracePointe. Randy was born and raised in Tucson and came to Christ when he was 17. He graduated from Southwestern Bible College (now ACU) in Phoenix, Arizona, along with his wife, Wanda. They have 3 children and 9 grandchildren. Randy has a passion to reach southwest Tucson for Christ and also enjoys golf, U of A athletics, and spending time with his family.  



  • GABE PONCé  associate pastor of youth and worship / elder

    Gabe was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. He came to know Christ in 1989. He was raised in church helping with youth and music. He has been involved in ministry for over ten years. He moved away to Chicago, Illinois in 2001 to Moody Bible Institute where he graduated with a Bachelor's in Theology. He later attended Seminary at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary out of Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, He graduated with a Master's in New Testament. He is married to his wife Kimberly they have two children. Likes to write, listen to music, and eat Mexican food.

  • BOB ALLEN  co-senior pastor / elder

    Pastor Bob has been in ministry for over 50 years, and came to Desert Stream/GracePointe in 2009. He is dedicated to reaching our community with the good news of Jesus Christ. He is a graduate of Wheaton College, with post graduate work at Moody Bible Institute, Wheaton, Jerusalem University College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has served as President of the Arizona chapter of the National Association of Evangelicals. Bob’s wife of 52 years, Nancy, passed away in 2011. They have 7 children, 18 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.


  • HEATHER HERR  administrative assistant

    Heather joined the GracePointe staff in 2013, and has been a part of our church since 2010. She loves helping the church to run smoothly. As the devoted mom of 2 great kids, Heather doesn't have much time for hobbies...but she enjoys taking lots of photos, reading, and cooking tacos! (We've also heard she loves rainbows and puppies) 




  • JOHN CRIDER  elder

    John was raised in Tucson and returned to Tucson after 24 years of service in the United States Navy. John was raised in a Christian family and was baptized by immersion in February 1989. He is celebrating over 30 years of marriage with his wife Jo, they have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. John has been serving as an Elder at GracePointe since 2015. In his spare time he enjoys photography, designing and playing computer simulations related to flight and space.



  • RICHARD GONZALES  elder

    Rich was born & raised in Tucson, Arizona and attended local grade schools, high school as well as the U of A. He accepted Christ as his personal savior in 1978 at Amphi Bible Church and has been involved in various ministries at GracePointe as well as other churches through the years. Rich has served as an elder for many years and hopes to continue serving wherever the Lord leads. Rich is married to Karen and together they have raised 2 sons and 1 daughter and have 6 grandchildren. Rich enjoys the outdoors, especially golfing with friends.


  • RICK TAYLOR  elder

    Though Rick was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, his Mother is from the Tucson area and he spent many wonderful summers visiting relatives here. In 1999 the Lord showed his power by moving Rick's job permanently to Tucson making him available to help his parents who retired here years before. Rick served as an elder at Desert Stream Bible Church from 2004-2005 and is proud to serve at GracePointe EFC now. He married Judy in 2005 and they have two beautiful Godchildren (nieces) who they love to spoil.


  • DAVID VILLALOVOS  elder

    David was born and raised in Southern California. He accepted Christ as his Savior as a child, but rededicated his walk with the Lord in his early 20's after walking in disobedience during his late teen years. He has spent 10 years working with youth ministries before moving to Tucson in 2015 with his wife, Renee, and their 3 children. David started serving as an Elder this year and plays drums for the praise team. He loves playing recreational sports and photography.
