We need each other. Spiritual growth happens best when we have close relationships with other committed Christians that are centered around God's word and cultivated in a variety of settings. Acts 2:42 tells us that the earliest Christians "...devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." We gather for worship on Sunday mornings, but we also have a need for interaction on a smaller scale. Where we can know others well and be known ourselves. Where we can discuss God's word and pray for each other consistently. That's why Community Groups are the hub of body life at GracePointe.
WHAT ARE COMMUNITY GROUPS? Living life. Reaching our community. Together.
We seek to live life together around the gospel. Our "Community Group" weekly meetings typically focus on prayer, fellowship, and sermon-based discussion and application. This is really the best way to form relationships with other adults and families in our church. Opportunities to get involved our always available as we have groups that meet in people's homes throughout the community almost every day of the week.
We gather around the table as family. Community Groups also meet regularly for meals together (at least once per month!). This gives us an opportunity to enjoy each other's company in an informal and unhurried setting.
We reach out together and individually through prayer and intentional relationships out in our community. Community Groups pray for those who don't know Christ and seek to reach people on their turf (we call this "Third Place" a "Community Connection Pointe"). We want to point others to God's grace in the gospel as we live life together.
Participation is highly encouraged...Get involved today! If you'd like more information, please contact the church office.
