1 + 1 = 1             Bad math...but a beautiful story!

GracePointe was officially established in 2012. But our beginnings go back more than 50 years beforehand. That's because GracePointe came into being under a unique set of circumstances. Over a 2-3 year period, God led two established churches in southwest Tucson to consider a rare step of faith: Joining together and becoming one body. The goal of the proposed partnership as stated by the Elders of both churches to each congregation was "To improve, enhance, expand, and accelerate the Kingdom of God in southwest Tucson and beyond." And on October 14, 2012 the members of both Desert Stream Bible Church and Chapel in the Hills Baptist Church approved the unification. On that day we became one new body. 1 + 1 = 1.

From the very beginning, it has been our goal that GracePointe would be committed to the spread of the gospel in and beyond southwest Tucson. Our commitment has grown into our passion: Loving God, Loving People, Making Disciples.
